Welcome to Spicewood

Just 35 miles northwest of Austin on Highway 71 lies the charming, unincorporated town of Spicewood. Famously home to legendary musician Willie Nelson, Spicewood may not offer residents all the state-of-the-art amenities found in big cities, but its tight-knit community, peaceful streets, and the rare feeling that everyone in town truly knows everyone else has made it increasingly popular among families and individuals seeking a slower lifestyle with more time spent in the town’s beautiful natural surroundings.
Thanks to the town’s lower cost of living, excellent nearby schools, and lively music scene, Spicewood draws visitors and potential homeowners from around the state. With many luxury homes available on the shores of the Colorado River and Little Cypress Creek, the simplicity of the town often belies the modern architecture and high-end finishes of the spacious homes available to potential residents.  Contact the Spicewood real estate agents & realtors at the Dicker Morin Group to find houses, estates & luxury homes for sale in Spicewood, TX.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Despite its rural setting and small community, Spicewood is home to several local eateries and entertainment venues. Opie’s BBQ is a local staple offering a relaxed setting and a pick-your-meat-from-the-show-pit kind of atmosphere. Mentioned in Forbes, Opie’s is everything you expect a Texan barbecue joint to be, featuring hearty servings of smoked and grilled meats alongside ice-cold beers and typical southern desserts like cobbler and banana pudding.
For something more lively, but not compromising on casual warmth and hospitality, The Lighthouse serves classic American and Mexican dishes with beautiful views over Lake Travis and regular music nights that make for an exceptionally memorable summer night out with friends. Another local staple for live music and classic pub grub is Poodies Roadhouse, where visitors can enjoy the sunset from the large outdoor deck. And, for those looking to simply kick back with a beer, The Frontyard is a great brewery in town loved by locals for its down-to-earth atmosphere and high-quality food trucks that support local small businesses.
