The architectural style of Rough Hollow is considered Mediterranean due to the many stucco and stone homes or Hill Country Modern. Hill Country Modern is a term unique to this central area of Texas and the limestone vistas that dot the horizon. Hill Country Modern homes are often built with white Texas limestone, which occurs naturally in this region. A singular design touch of a Hill County home is that it will often have windows in gridded panes to manage the amount of light allowed to enter the home in stylish, refined facets. Club members can call in their food and never have to leave the comfort of the resort. The yacht club offers several small eateries and a couple of bars, including one that's swim-up. Only a few miles away, The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen offers an alternative with thin-crust pizza and a curated wine list when couples want the perfect date night. 
 

Things to Do 

The Rough Hollow Lakeway Welcome Center has three swimming pools, a ship and watersport store, and valet services. The clubhouse features a coffee bar, deli, and event pavilion, providing even more entertainment for the locals. If it's time for residents to leave their favorite clubhouses, then there are plenty of natural parks to explore. The area boasts hundreds of parks and places to view the wildlife alongside Lake Travis and/or The Colorado River. 
 
The Roughollow Lakeside Trailhead is a moderate 30-40 minute hike to the most popular overlook at Lake Travis. The Canyonlands is a scenic but more challenging trail for more accomplished hikers. Many locals value both the resort community and the surrounding area as places to hike, cycle, and walk their dogs.
